President, Reinhardt University
Dr. Mark A. Roberts
Mark A. Roberts, Ph.D. serves as the 21st President of Reinhardt University and has over 25 years of teaching and administrating experience, educated thousands of students, and raised significant funding to support private, values-based higher education. Roberts has served as a fellow at the John S. Knight Institute at Cornell University, National Humanities Center, Salzburg Seminars, National Endowment for the Humanities, and Council of Independent College’s Institutional Mission and Vocation for presidents, giving lectures on the value of private higher education. An active citizen, he advocates commitment to one’s region and encourages local work with a constructive global impact, a philosophical concept referred to as “rooted cosmopolitanism.”
From The Desk Of President
For well over a century, students from all over the world have found a "home away from home" at Reinhardt University. Reinhardt alumni span the globe. They serve as doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, and technologists. While studying at Reinhardt's campus in the safe environment of our beautiful campus, international students take on leadership roles, engage with faculty to conduct research, and join clubs and organizations to enrich the campus experience.

A former member of Georgia General Assembly and speaker of the house. First elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in 1972, he chaired many House Committees and was elected as the Speaker of the House for the 2003-2004 Legislative Session. He served as Assistant Commissioner for the Georgia Department of Agriculture under Tommy Irvin from 2007-2010, when he stepped down to run for Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Labor.
